Z Axis rods and nuts
From 8 of July all the full mechanical Kits, fastener sets and printers are shipped with Stainless steel Z threaded Rod and Long M5 stainless steel nuts. This combination allows smooth Z axis movements with better reliability in positioning.

Aluminum X Carriage
The aluminum X carriage is one of the major improvements on the Prusa i3 Printer.
The advantage are: easy installation, stability and of course the absence of plastic ties. |
Furthermore, it is designed to be installed in opposite way to be used with a direct drive or with a bowden system and short hot End.
It can be installed on all the Prusa i3 Versions that have the 45 mm distance between the center of the smooth rods, including of course the single plate version or the framebox.

GREG's Adapter for standard X carriage
The adapter allows the installation of the Greg's V3 extruder on the carriage increasing the stability of the extruder installation.
Available in two versions: for standard full metal hot end or for the short J-head hot End. |

Y - End stop holder.
Installed on the side of the Y Corner, this part allows double regulation, vertical plus end stop positioning.

Y- Belt tensioner
To Avoid the access of the belt holder on the bottom of the printer the belt tensioner allows the adjustment of the belt just from the front of the printer in a few seconds, even while printer is working.

Z-Smooth rod lock for Z top
The aim of the part is to increase the rigidity of the Z axis and avoid accidental moves of the Z-smooth rod from the sit on the Z motor part.
Sometimes, it has happened that due to dust or misalignment of the X axis during moves the Z smooth rod get out of the Z bottom part causing many problems |

X carriage Bushing
No more plastics ties on the LM8UU fixing. Using a Prusa i3 single plate for long time we understand that the plastics ties are not the best option to fix the LM8UU to the aluminum Y Carriage. After some time the ties get loose and the linear bearings move a little inside their slot. with this plastic part the problem seems to be solved. |
